Frame Tent Guide

!±8± Frame Tent Guide

A frame tent is nothing more than stitched fabric with corners, foundations and beams that are reinforced by metal or stiff plastic poles. The tents are superior to non-frame tents in that they can withstand the elements better, offer more room to the occupants and can be erected with easily and with a minimum of difficulty.

In recent years tent manufacturers have been able to make great leaps in design and technology due to the many benefits made in alloy and fabric construction and design techniques. Tents have come a long way in the past few years and continue to improve. In our modern society fabrics have become tougher and more resilient; poles have become lighter and more durable and computer aided design have combined to make products that are far superior to older versions. In most cases the advent of greater more efficient shipping methods have driven the cost of tents down so that a large family style tent with a frame, that will last many years might cost less than a full tank of fuel.

Most of these tents are easy to employ even under harsh or demanding circumstances. The fabric of the tent is stitched in such a way that the poles, once extended can be extended into the sleeves and connected to the corners and base. The tent can be fully erected in many cases in under a few minutes even by a novice or beginner camper. Frame tents are easy to employ, lightweight and more durable and effective than tents that have no frame.
